Meet the band

DNR crafts a sound that invites everyone, from the youngest to the wisest, to feel the rhythm and find their peace. Our music is a reflection of sun-drenched days, the wisdom of ancient trees, and the unifying pulse of the ocean – a reminder that we are all interconnected, living under one sun, with one love.

He is holding a wooden flute near his mouth, with a red electric guitar on the grass in front of him. There are plants and trees in the background, with string lights above, creating a cozy, artistic atmosphere.
  • Remembers hearing Peter Tosh and Mick Jagger"s, "You gotta walk, don't look back" over the radio.  The seed was planted. SteveO started his journey with a guitar as a teen, then found love with Sound System Culture as a DJ under the name "Sound Almighty".  Now today, he captains the "Rasta Ship" called DNR, deep nourished roots band, here in Lexington Kentucky.

  • "We all touch each other in reality. Together is the whole of we. Hopefully the world will come to realize this before it's too late." A Master of many instruments. A veteran of the music scene. Robby Dread holds the pace on drums and vocals while mentoring us all. Advice from dread, "take them where you want to go".
